CPA Program Costs and Fees

Embarking on your journey to become a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is an investment in your future. Understanding the associated fees and costs is an important step in planning your path to certification. This page provides a detailed breakdown of the program’s tuition fees, additional costs, and other financial considerations so you can make informed decisions as you pursue this prestigious designation. Whether you’re budgeting for module fees, exam costs, or other requirements, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Throughout your journey toward the CPA designation, candidates are required to pay annual fees to maintain active status with CPA Atlantic School of Business and remain in good standing within the program. The program fees are consistent for both domestic and international applicants. Many employers offer financial support as candidates progress through the program, but it is the candidate’s responsibility to coordinate any such arrangements with their employer.

Please note that all fees include HST, with the exception of Bermuda residents. CPA Atlantic School handles education delivery as a contractor for CPA Nova Scotia, CPA New Brunswick, CPA Newfoundland and Labrador, CPA Prince Edward Island and CPA Bermuda. Upon completion of the CPA program, you will be recommended for membership to your provincial body.

Payments must be made through the student portal using a credit card or debit card. For more information, click here.

Note: Fees are subject to change without notice.

Initial Costs for New Applicants

Your applicant type determines the initial costs you will incur during the enrollment process. Almost all applicant types are required to submit transcripts or documents of some type to be assessed or reviewed, but only select applicant types are required to request a transcript assessment or submit a third-party evaluation (WES).

Please note: It may take up to 8 weeks to process your application. To ensure timely processing, please submit your application for your preferred start date no later than 8 weeks before the registration deadline. You can find the registration deadlines and start dates for CPA PEP modules here and CPA Preparatory courses here.

Standard evaluation fee of $140 CAD (+HST) for requests involving transcripts from Canada, the U.S., and Bermuda.

An official transcript is required to move forward with your application. You will need to request it from your post-secondary institution(s).

International evaluation fee of $365 CAD (+HST) for requests involving transcripts from outside of Canada, the U.S., and Bermuda.

A third-party evaluation is required for international applicants looking to assess their international degree or IFAC membership status.

The third-party evaluation determines and verifies the Canadian equivalency of your international education so CPAASB can determine if you have met the degree and 120 credit hour requirements for entry into CPA PEP. Your post-secondary courses are also assessed for possible academic credit during the CPAASB transcript assessment process.
